There are a number of key messages that the Passion Project, the Foundation and its Youth Council team members use to deliver on social media messaging around our strategy for social change:
These are as follows:
#Changing Perceptions Changing Lives Industry / Business / Corporate marketplace strapline
It is designed for all manner of conversations and asks the enquirer to consider what pre-conceived ideas they have about people, vocations, race, sexual orientation, nationality, intellect, dress sense, politics, wealth, health etc. Birds of a feather tend to flock together so we ask people to be open-minded and consider that they may find out something new and more importantly something that they like if they stay open to new ideas. As a result, old prejudices may get overturned and new friendships may be made.
#BE The Change Youth – Call to action (preparation and mobilisation)
We use this term as a call to action – a way of mobilising young people and our supporter network. This is also a name given to a part of our training curriculum, which is aimed helping young people develop themselves, supporting them with life skills and experiences to help them find their place in the world.
#A New Conversation Partner network – Invitation to participate in a solution
Usually, this is used with our partner network or those who have been around for some time and operated under a number of different Governments, regimes, policies etc. It is a reminder that this is a new narrative and one that is not constrained by the limitations of that past. We can, and must learn from the past and then move on – that’s life.
#The Way Forward Government & Policy – the presentation of a solution
This is used when presenting an idea or a concept to decision or policymakers and can be used with supporters to help align objectives.
#Passiton / #Playitforward Audience engagement
A phrase requesting that the supporters and audience help us in the activity by passing the information along to a friend.
#Ignition All particpants and audience members
This denotes that the user should be aware that a process of consequence has just started and should make them available to support it.
