We are delighted to announce the addition of Johnson Beharry VC to the Passion Project team.
Johnson will help develop the relationship between the Passion Project and UK Government alongside helping to drive the charitable aims of the Passion Project Charitable Foundation as its Commonwealth Ambassador.
Colour Sergeant Johnson Gideon Beharry, VC, COG is a British Army soldier who was awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest military decoration for valour in the British and Commonwealth armed forces, for saving members of his unit, the 1st Battalion Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, during the conflict in Iraq in 2004. He sustained serious head injuries in the latter engagement. Beharry was formally invested with the Victoria Cross by Queen Elizabeth II on 27 April 2005.
In addition to still serving in the army within the London District both with his unit and with infantry Head Quarters, he is very active with his charitable work and supporting young people.
Johnson will work alongside other key founding partners of the Passion Project, which includes the Violent Crime Prevention Board and the Green Skills Partnership to help develop a joined-up national approach to the delivery of services to young people leaving school and seeking employment.
